Fitment..
If you have purchased the delete cover and you find it dose not slide to the shoulder of the axle it means your axle is bent. This is a common issue with these axles and can easily be fixed with a press and V-blocks or any local machine shop will be able to quickly straiten it.
Something else to look, these axles are made of a soft steel and over time oval at the pinch clamp location. The way to tell if your axle is distorted is to loosen the clam enough so you can insert the axle shank into it, yet it should not be wobbly. Then try and spin the shaft, if the shaft only goes in one way and dose not spin in the clamp it is squished and should be turned round again on a lathe. By doing this you will insure the forks can center them selves on the axle so the forks do not bind during the compression stoke.
